Soothing rhythm breathing is a self-regulation strategy that can activate your nervous system responsible for soothing and safeness – the parasympathetic nervous system. If you have tried using breathing activities to reduce your anxiety and have not found them helpful, I encourage you to try using soothing rhythm breathing. In this activity, there is no right or wrong way to breathe. Practising for just a few minutes daily can help lower your baseline stress level and have a positive effect on your well-being.
